First time arriving the U.S (0:52 - 2:14)
Coming to the U.S with her father when she was just three years.

Life in the U.S (2:15 – 4:01)
-When she reached elementary Ms. Rivera stopped talking in
tagalog and adapted the American way which is to speak
fluently in English.

life which was typically normal..

Learn the Filipino culture if given a chance again (6:06-10:00)
-Ms. Rivera would want to learn and read more about the History of the
Philippines and people may often forget
where they came from but Ms. Rivera show no disinterest about learning the
culture once again.

-Ms. Rivera says, “my life is very American” Ms.
Rivera also mentions about getting her job from hardship and

Differences
between American and Filipino Americans (11:06-13:06)
-Ms. Rivera was truly right about her siblings because her siblings were raise
here and her learning the value of
the filipino culture compared to her siblings no clue about the
culture.Differences between them is the
same as Americans and Filipino Americans.
A happy Family with maybe some differences of
culture.

- she describes the opportunities she had than her parents because she has
graduated from college,
and that long before life was not the same. But hardship is still there.

“The American

-Ms. Rivera says, “ I lucky because I have both the
best world
that the American system have created have a job, but is
happy that her family still have the Filipino values
that help her no matter what happens.

- Ms. Rivera have me an answer that really stand out during the interview which
was, “we are in an interesting place..
Filipinos have American mixed and its values us what helps Filipino immigrants
surpass life in the U.S and most
Importantly we Filipinos are very adaptive where ever we
go…People should also be aware about the history…”
